Class Description:
Kids aren’t the only ones who enjoy pumpkins! In this fun autumn workshop, you’ll create a floral arrangement using a real pumpkin as your vase. You’ll be able to choose from several unique pumpkin colors. The pumpkins are medium-sized, approximately 9 inches in diameter and about 8 pounds, similar to the ones shown in the photo.
While enjoying your arrangement, you can make pumpkin soup with the pumpkin you scoop out, then repurpose the pumpkin vase as a Jack-o’-lantern for Halloween. One pumpkin, multiple uses!

What to Bring:
- Floral scissors or gardening shears — scissors or shears that can cut soft flower stems and thin branches
- Ice cream scoop or serving spoon — for scooping out the pumpkin
- Fruit or paring knife — a short-bladed knife for cutting around the pumpkin stem
- Gardening gloves — for hand protection while handling the knife
- Bath towel and a box or container — to transport your finished arrangement
- Plastic container or Ziplock bag (optional) — to take home the pumpkin flesh
- Apron (optional) — to protect your clothes from pumpkin juice
What the Instructor Provides:
- Seasonal flowers and greenery
- A pumpkin
- Chicken wire and a plastic container to hold the floral materials inside the pumpkin
