This was for the NorCal Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco. My garden roses took center stage, complemented by Chinese elm branches generously shared by a neighbor friend and French-braided under the guidance of Katsuko Sensei. The egg-shaped vase—holding nearly 4 gallons of water—was the perfect anchor for the design.
